Better Late Than Never!

I realize that the holidays have come and gone, but I thought I would finally add in our holiday fun! We were able to spend lots of time with family and had so much fun...so hang on tight, it's going to be a long one!
We had a Christmas party with the extended Hegsted family on the 19th and then a party with the Young family on Christmas Eve.

Hegsted Family on Christmas Eve

Christmas morning we spent at our house where Santa had come to drop off some Christmas loot! Liam ran around yelling "presents" and was very good to stop and ask who each present was for before tearing into them. Here are a few of the favorites.

Liam's new Cars quilt

His trike

Liam's "credibles" cape. (He tries to say 'incredibles' like the cartoon but can't quite get it.)

And his stuffed Elmo and a dinosaur. For some reason Elmo always has to be riding the dinosaur like a horse. I didn't think the two went together, but hats off to Liam for thinking outside the box!

Annie slept through most of the festivities and wasn't even too upset to wake up and find all the presents opened. What a good little girl!

Christmas day we spent at the Hall house playing Wii and having fun. We thought we were snowed in, but Grandpa Tad braved the awful roads and picked us up to have a sleepover! We had lots of fun visiting, playing and eating!

New Year's Eve was the night we had the party with the Hall family. All 19 of us were there and we had a blast! We exchanged gifts, played games and ate like crazy!

The grandkids opening their gifts.

Grandpa and Granny B got each of the grandkids a sweatshirt with their name and something they like embroidered on them. The kids looked so cute running around in their matching shirts and the loved them!

My parents are always pranking us on Christmas with different gifts and so this year for Christmas we got them back by giving them many of the pranks back! We also included memories we had growing up. If the look on their faces is any indication, I think they liked it!

The older boys got these fun flying monkey slingshots. You shoot them off and they fly across the room screaming. We heard alot of them that night!

No time for pictures! As you can see by the huge smile on Jaxon's face there was no time to stop and take pictures! All the kids had so much fun running and playing.

All in all, our holiday season was a blast!

Yay for Christmas time -it's the best! We should have a talent show next year so Cole will have a venue where he can show off all of his mad skills. Never hide your light under a bushel, Cole!

Such fun! Looks like Liam had an especially good time Christmas morning. He got to have Annie to share it with, but all the attention at the same time! That was a special gift from Annie. Love the Hall family fun too ... great ideas!
